My husband and I were so fortunate to have Eli and his wonderful team as our guides to Tanzania in 2018. They gave us everything we’d hoped for and more — stunning vistas of its vast horizons, incredibly close-up introductions to its magnificent animals, and an understanding of the herculean human effort it takes to keep them all safe and wild. We benefitted from Eli’s knowledge, kindness, and sly sense of humor, and were honored to be invited into his home to meet his loving family. I can’t think of a better way to discover the wonders of Tanzania!

We truly had a dream vacation and experience on our 13-day safari with Eli and his guides. We can honestly say it was our best trip ever. From start to finish, we felt safe and taken care of. The accommodations were fantastic and adventuresome; our guides were so knowledgeable, warm, friendly, funny and simply a delight. We were so lucky seeing all the animals that we did and, from what we hear from other friends who have been on safari, we had an exceptional experience as they always managed to find us a new adventure. We have recommended many friends on this same trip and they have not been disappointed.

I had the opportunity to accompany a group of 9 friends on a camera safari in Tanzania. Eliyahu (Eli) is the owner and tour leader for Serengeti Frontier Safaris. We safaried into the the Serengeti, the Tarangire, and the Ngorongoro region. The single most impressive moment for me on the entire safari was standing on the rim of the Ngorongoro crater and peering 2000' below to what I considered the Garden of Eden. It was magical to have a birdseye view of an ecosystem with animals and plants existing in a balanced relationship. Until you stand 15-30 feet from a lion, an elephant, a giraffe, etc. you can't know the thrill. Eli and his crew are experts at guiding and tracking, safety and hospitality, flora and fauna. They are very fun to be with and take care of every detail in a thorough manner. I am really hoping to go on another safari in 2022.

We had the great privilege of traveling through Tanzania with a fantastic guide Eliyahu. During our safari he took us to the most amazing places and showed us the way to respect the land and the animals. We visited Serengeti national Park, Tarangire national Park and Ngorongoro conservation Park. Through our time together we became like family, and Eli even came and stayed with us in California for a time. We were able to show him our local Santa Monica Mountains and share how we live on this side of the planet. It was great fun. A few years later we recommend him to some neighbors who also enjoyed a fantastic family adventure with Eli. I highly recommend Eli as a guide. We always felt like we were seeing the best parts of Eastern Africa and truly understanding the local ways, all while feeling pampered and safe in our adventure.

I will forever remember our family safari with you through Tanzania as my favorite family trip! You are so knowledgeable and kind. You planned everything perfectly for our family. I was surprised at how delicious the food was everywhere we went. We even enjoyed staying in the tent cabins with the heated buckets of water. We felt so blessed to see all the animals in your beautiful country. The people of Tanzania are equally beautiful inside and out. We never worried about our safety once. We never worried about theft once. It was beyond amazing. I can’t wait to come back. We will definitely do another family vacation when we have grandkids to share the experience with as well. The best trip we have ever experienced was with Serengeti [Frontier] Safaris in Tanzania. Eliyahu, owner and guide, created a customized itinerary specifically suited to our interests and physical abilities. He handled every detail of our stay from picking us up and delivering us to the airport (even at 4 a.m.), choosing unique lodging, all transportation, arranging side trips and special experiences. Our lodgings varied from luxurious to rustic. Every one of them was comfortable, secure, and in beautiful surroundings. Service at all of them was friendly and attentive. The meals were delicious and generous. It was difficult not to gain weight despite all of our activity. What makes Serengeti [Frontier] Safaris special is the knowledge and connections of Ellie. Ellie is Masai. His friendship with tribal leaders provides fascinating opportunities to experience Masai life and culture first hand. Of course, the highlight of any African safari is seeing the wildlife. And this is where Serengeti [Frontier] Safaris really excels. Over a lifetime of experience Ellie knows where to find and how best to observe different species. In addition to his own knowledge, Ellie was constantly getting and sharing information with fellow guides at our lodges or with those we'd meet while travelling. This meant that each day we had no canned route to follow - we would travel to wherever the sightings were best. Each venture was flexible. If we wanted to get the right photograph Ellie would position us accordingly. If we wanted to view certain animals or landscapes off we would go. If we wanted to relax at a special locale, we would stay longer. Whatever we wanted Ellie cheerfully accomodated. We can't recommend Serengeti [Frontier] Safari more highly for an unforgettable adventure.
